The Percy Jackson season 3 trailer has just arrived, and it changes the scale of the Disney+ series in a single, urgent stroke. This is no longer a summer-camp adventure with a monster or two lurking at the edges. Percy Jackson is going to war, and the first person he has to save is the person he trusts most.
Disney+ unveiled the official trailer on 3 November 2026, adapting Rick Riordan’s third novel, The Titan’s Curse, for the first time on screen. The new season premieres on Disney+ on 20 November 2026, opening with two episodes, followed by two episodes each week, with the finale arriving on 11 December 2026, according to the season schedule reported alongside the trailer.

1. Annabeth is captured, and Percy’s quest becomes personal
The trailer’s sharpest turn is Annabeth Chase’s capture. Leah Sava Jeffries returns as Annabeth, and the preview shows her falling into the hands of Luke’s forces, with her fate tied to Atlas, the Titan played by Holt McCallany.
That single image reframes the whole season. Percy, played by Walker Scobell, is not chasing a stolen object or a vague prophecy this time. He is setting out with Grover Underwood, played by Aryan Simhadri, and a set of unlikely allies to bring Annabeth home, while the forces of Kronos close in around them. The rescue gives the Titan war a human centre, and it is the detail fans are most likely to replay.
2. Thalia, Nico and Bianca change the prophecy
The Percy Jackson season 3 trailer also brings three book-favourite demigods into the foreground. Tamara Smart appears as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, whose presence pulls the children of the Big Three back into the heart of the prophecy.
Then come the siblings who change everything: Nico di Angelo, played by Levi Chrisopulos, and Bianca di Angelo, played by Olive Abercrombie. Their introduction is not a cameo. In Riordan’s story, the children of Hades carry a weight the other demigods do not, and the trailer treats their arrival as a turning point rather than a tease. Percy and his friends are also shown trying to bring Thalia into a mission to protect children who have not yet discovered they are demigods, which widens the stakes beyond Camp Half-Blood.
3. A whole new bench of gods joins the fight
If season 3 looks bigger, the casting explains why. Dafne Keen joins as Artemis, goddess of the hunt, with Saara Chaudry as Zoe Nightshade, the formidable lieutenant who leads her Hunters. Kate McKinnon takes on Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen appears as Hera, Jennifer Beals portrays Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki joins as Apollo.
They sit alongside returning divine faces, including Courtney B. Vance as Zeus, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, and Adam Copeland as Ares, with Charlie Bushnell returning as Luke Castellan, Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, and Glynn Turman as Chiron. David Costabile also joins as the sinister Dr. Thorn. The trailer does not just add names; it shows a pantheon splitting into camps, with gods and Titans moving toward open conflict.
4. The release plan rewards weekly watching
Disney+ is not dropping the season all at once. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 premieres with two episodes on 20 November 2026, then releases two episodes each week, ending on 11 December 2026. The eight-episode season is created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, and that weekly rhythm matters for a story built on reveals: each pair of episodes can land a cliffhanger, and the Annabeth rescue can unfold rather than being binged in one sitting.
For viewers catching up, that schedule also gives time to revisit the earlier seasons. The Titan’s Curse is the third book, so the new season follows directly from the story threads already established, rather than rebooting the world.
5. What the trailer deliberately does not give away
For all its spectacle, the Percy Jackson season 3 trailer keeps its biggest cards close. It shows the war coming, it shows Annabeth in danger, and it shows new gods and demigods arriving, but it does not explain exactly how Percy reaches Atlas, what price the rescue demands, or how far Luke’s forces have already advanced.
That restraint is good news. A trailer that explained the whole quest would leave the season with nowhere to go. Instead, the preview works as a promise: a rescue, a war, and a prophecy that finally pulls in the children it has been circling since the beginning.
The question now is not whether the stakes are high enough. They clearly are. It is whether Percy can save Annabeth without losing someone else along the way, and whether the gods, newly arrived in force, will help him or use him. The trailer, released today, leaves that answer for 20 November.
