The Story: A Stolen Locket and a 900-Year Time Jump
The plot of Motu Patlu Mystery of Nagmani starts with a chase. John the Don steals a precious diamond locket, and Motu and Patlu set off after him. While chasing John, the two friends accidentally fall through a time portal and travel 900 years into the past.
They land in the mysterious Andherius City, ruled by King Johnathanius. Far from home and far from their own time, Motu and Patlu must find a way back. To do that, they seek the help of a clever dwarf named Chalakius, who has his own secret plan. What follows is a mix of thrilling chases, hilarious misunderstandings and a race against time, as the duo tries to return to Furfuri Nagar.
The blend is classic Motu Patlu: comedy first, mystery second, and a time-travel twist that keeps the adventure moving. The film promises the same warmth that has made the duo a favourite for over a decade on television.

Why Motu Patlu Still Rules Kids’ Television
Motu and Patlu are among the most popular animated characters in India. They first appeared in 1969 in the Hindi comic magazine Lotpot, and the animated television series launched on Nickelodeon in 2012, bringing the friends from Furfuri Nagar into homes across the country.
Viewers love Motu’s passion for samosas and his innocence, balanced by Patlu’s wisdom and quick thinking. Their theme song, written by Gulzar and sung by Sukhwinder Singh, is familiar to a whole generation of children. Over the years the duo has headlined many TV movies, and each new adventure is eagerly awaited by young fans.
Motu Patlu Mystery of Nagmani continues that tradition, but the time-travel setting gives it a bigger canvas than a regular episode. The 900-year jump, a royal city and a dwarf with a secret plan all point to a film-scale story rather than a routine chase through Furfuri Nagar.
