Jailer 2 Trailer The much-awaited trailer of Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2 is finally here, and it promises another high-energy outing for Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Released on October 5, 2026, the trailer brings back Rajinikanth in his popular Jailer character while introducing new threats, new faces and plenty of action.
The sequel is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year, especially after the massive response to the first Jailer. With Nelson returning as director and Anirudh Ravichander handling the music, Jailer 2 aims to take the franchise on a much bigger scale.
Jailer 2 Trailer: Rajinikanth Is Back as Tiger
The biggest attraction of the Jailer 2 trailer is, of course, Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
Unlike the larger-than-life image fans remember from the first film, the trailer initially shows Tiger living a quieter life and working as a driver. However, it quickly becomes clear that his dangerous past has not completely disappeared.
When Tiger is pushed into a corner, the old Muthuvel Pandian begins to emerge once again. The trailer mixes Rajinikanth’s trademark style and comedy with action and a new criminal threat.
Jailer 2 Trailer Review: What Stands Out?
The trailer appears to follow the basic spirit of the first movie while expanding the world.
Nelson Dilipkumar brings back the combination of dark humour, mass moments and action, while the sequel introduces a fresh set of characters around Tiger.
One of the biggest talking points is the expanded cast. S. J. Suryah, Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty are among the prominent new additions, while Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and Shiva Rajkumar are associated with the returning star ensemble.
The trailer also keeps the focus firmly on Rajinikanth, making it clear that Tiger remains the centre of the story.

What Is Jailer 2 About?
The trailer suggests that Tiger Muthuvel Pandian is once again pulled into a dangerous situation involving the criminal underworld.
Tiger appears to have moved away from his previous life, but circumstances force him to confront a new threat. The story seems to expand beyond the events of the first film, with a new conflict and several powerful characters entering Tiger’s world.
The makers have kept some details under wraps, but the trailer makes one thing clear: Tiger is not finished yet.

Jailer 2 Trailer: Final Verdict
The Jailer 2 trailer delivers what fans are likely expecting from a Rajinikanth-Nelson collaboration: mass moments, humour, action, a huge supporting cast and the return of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
While the trailer reveals quite a few characters and story elements, it still leaves enough questions about Tiger’s new mission to make the theatrical release interesting.
