If you’ve spent the last few weeks refreshing your feed for a clue about who would win this season, you can stop now. The grand finale has aired, the fireworks are done, and Avinash Mishra is the Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 winner.
It wasn’t a runaway victory. Five finalists went into the last night, each one tested on stunts built around heights, speed and nerve. In this post, we cover how the finale played out, what Avinash won, how the fan debate unfolded, and where this season sits in the history of the show.
Who won Khatron Ke Khiladi 15?
Avinash Mishra beat Orry and Rithvik Dhanjani in the final stunt to take the title. The finale, hosted by Rohit Shetty, took place on October 4, 2026. Outlook India reported the result shortly after the episode wrapped, and Sunday Guardian Live also confirmed it, describing Avinash as a television actor who lifted the trophy after a tough, stunt-heavy final.
KKK 15 grand finale recap: how it unfolded
Five contestants made it to the final night: Farrhana Bhatt, Orry, Avinash Mishra, Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Wahi. The finale worked like a knockout, with each round removing one contestant until three were left for the decider.
Round one: Karan Wahi exits. Karan was the first to go. He lost a bus and height-based stunt against Rithvik Dhanjani. Rohit Shetty gave him a customised jacket as a farewell gesture, a nice touch that fans appreciated.
Round two: Farrhana Bhatt exits. The next stunt saw Farrhana lose out to Orry and Avinash Mishra. Her exit narrowed the race to the three strongest performers of the season. Farrhana had been a fan favourite, so her elimination drew plenty of reactions online.
The final showdown. With Avinash, Orry and Rithvik left standing, the last stunt decided everything. Avinash came out on top. Filmibeat’s finale coverage has a detailed breakdown of the elimination rounds if you want to relive them.
One detail worth noting: the reports we checked don’t clearly state which of Orry or Rithvik was named first runner-up, so we won’t guess here.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 prize money and rewards
The winner’s package this season includes:
- ₹20 lakh in cash prize money
- A Maruti Suzuki Swift
- A trip to Europe
The cash prize and car follow the pattern of recent seasons. Tushar Kalia took home ₹20 lakh and a car when he won season 12, so the headline reward has stayed steady. The Europe trip is the extra perk this time.
What Avinash Mishra said after winning
In his statement after the win, Avinash said he had joined the show with something to prove. Along the way, he realised the person he ended up proving it to was himself. It’s a thoughtful reaction, and it fits a season where he built his case slowly through steady performances rather than one big moment.
The viral clip that fooled the internet
Before the finale aired, the internet was split. The finale had already been shot in Mumbai, and a video from the set went viral. It showed Farrhana Bhatt hugging Rohit Shetty on stage while fireworks went off behind them. For many of her fans, that was proof she had won.
An equally loud group argued that Avinash Mishra was the real winner. Their case was simple: he had been consistent all season and deserved the trophy. Some reports also suggested Karan Wahi might finish as second runner-up. News24 covered the speculation at the time, and neither Rohit Shetty nor the channel confirmed anything until the episode aired.
The finale showed how risky it is to read a winner from a few seconds of footage. Fireworks and hugs are part of every finale shoot. Farrhana’s celebration clip turned out to be exactly that: a celebration, not a result. And Karan Wahi’s rumoured placing didn’t hold either, since he was the first finalist eliminated.

Khatron Ke Khiladi winners list: how Avinash joins the club
Avinash now joins a list of winners that spans very different kinds of celebrities. Here are some recent and notable champions:
| Season | Winner | Notes |
| 15 | Avinash Mishra | Beat Orry and Rithvik Dhanjani |
| 14 | Karanveer Mehra | Season shot in Romania |
| 12 | Tushar Kalia | Beat Faisal Shaikh and Mohit Malik in the final stunt |
| 11 | Arjun Bijlani | Divyanka Tripathi was runner-up |
| 10 | Karishma Tanna | Won the finale’s Wrecking Ball task |
| 9 | Punit Pathak | Choreographer and actor |
| 7 | Sidharth Shukla | Won ₹25 lakh and a car under host Arjun Kapoor |
| 6 | Ashish Chaudhary | Actor and one of the franchise’s early champions |
Looking at this list, you can see how varied the winners are. Choreographers like Punit Pathak and Tushar Kalia have won, and so have actors like Arjun Bijlani, Karanveer Mehra and Sidharth Shukla. The title doesn’t go to one type of celebrity. It goes to whoever handles pressure best when it matters.
Why consistency won this season
Finales like this one raise an old question: does the show reward the best overall performer or the one who peaks on the last night? Avinash’s win leans toward the first answer. Supporters pointed to his steady run throughout the season, and the result backed them up.
That said, a knockout finale is a different test from a weekly stunt. Every finalist has to deliver in a single high-pressure moment, with no second chances. Winning it takes both a strong season and a clean final run. Avinash managed both, and that’s what makes this win hard to argue with.
