The Fix movie release dates: India, the US, digital and Blu-ray

Here is the part that needs a clear explanation, because The Fix movie has already travelled quite a road before reaching Indian screens. The film opened in cinemas in the United States on 11 September 2026, after being known earlier under the working title Hotel Tehran. It then arrived on video-on-demand and digital platforms in the US on 13 October 2026, where it climbed into the top 25 Amazon VOD releases in the country. Now, on 30 October 2026, it opens in cinemas in India, and a Blu-ray release has been set for 17 November 2026. That staggered journey is worth knowing before you book, because it explains why reviews and reactions have been circulating online for weeks while Indian viewers are only now getting the theatrical experience.

The Fix movie story: a heist that becomes a rescue

The Fix movie follows a group of disgraced, war-torn former CIA operators who are left disillusioned by the end of the war in Afghanistan. Their story opens during the 2021 evacuation of Kabul, where Tucker, played by Zachary Levi, leads his team on a mission that goes badly wrong. Years later, Tucker is living a fractured civilian life, estranged from his family and haunted by what happened. A visit to his old handler Larry, played by Liam Neeson, changes everything. Larry, who is battling dementia, begins talking in remarkable detail about a secret from 1981: a fortune of 25 million dollars hidden in the walls of a hotel in Tehran during the fall of the Shah’s regime.

Tucker puts his old team back together and heads to Tehran to recover the money. But the mission comes with a condition. The woman who can point them to the fortune will only help if they rescue her daughter Maryam, a young activist hiding in Iran from the authorities. Suddenly a smash-and-grab heist becomes a daring rescue, and the team must choose between walking away rich and risking everything for people they barely know. The Fix movie keeps that moral question at its centre, even when the gunfights and double-crosses take over.

The Fix movie cast: who plays whom

Zachary Levi leads The Fix movie as Tucker, the disgraced former CIA team leader who carries most of the film’s action. Liam Neeson plays Larry, the veteran operative and mentor whose memory holds the key to the hidden fortune. Neeson fans should know this is not a solo Taken-style showcase: Levi does the heavy lifting in the field, while Neeson works as the weary mastermind behind the mission. The supporting cast includes Quincy Isaiah as Clay, Wes Chatham as Alex, Titus Welliver as James, Jake Choi, Augusto Aguilera, Annet Mahendru, Navid Negahban as the suspicious local officer Qasim, Numan Acar, and Lara Wolf as Maryam. Elnaaz Norouzi plays Zara, a Farsi-speaking student recruited to pose as Tucker’s wife so the team can move freely in Tehran. The film is directed by Guy Moshe from a screenplay by Moshe, Mark Bacci and Ron Hutchinson, based on an idea by former CIA officer Bazzel Baz. It runs for about 141 minutes and is rated R for strong and bloody violence, language and some nudity.

Why The Fix movie is dividing critics

The Fix movie has not received a warm consensus, and it is only fair to say so. Some reviewers have praised its ambition, its slow-burn structure and the way it shows the psychological toll on special forces veterans long after their service ends. Others have found it overlong, convoluted and uneven, with set pieces that are competently staged rather than truly harrowing. Its limited US theatrical run earned only around 1 million dollars at the box office, yet its second life on digital has been stronger, with ScreenRant reporting that it reached number 15 among Amazon’s top 25 VOD releases in the US in October 2026. That split verdict actually makes it an interesting watch: it is a thriller with big ideas about loyalty, guilt and government betrayal, even when it does not always land them cleanly.

Where to watch The Fix movie in India

In India, The Fix movie is a cinema release from 30 October 2026, so the big-screen experience is the way to see it first. An India OTT release date and platform have not been announced yet, and this article will be updated when a streaming partner is confirmed. Viewers abroad have already had a digital option since 13 October 2026 in the US, and the Blu-ray arrives on 17 November 2026. If you are choosing between this and another action release this weekend, fans of military and espionage stories will find plenty to chew on here, and it pairs naturally with other November action viewing such as Ghost Soldier, Jim Caviezel’s one-man war drama arriving in cinemas on 11 November.
