Romeo Juliet movie arrives in cinemas on 13 November 2026, and it is one of the freshest young romantic dramas in the Telugu November line-up. Harshith Reddy and Vishakha Dhiman play the lead pair in a film that looks at love the way young couples actually live it today — not just in fairy-tale terms, but through situationships, casual dating, breakups and changing bonds.

The Romeo Juliet movie is directed by Bhargav Macharla, who is making his directorial debut with the film and has also written its story. It is produced by Sundeep N and Venkateswara Rao Challagulla under the Navarasa Entertainments banner, and presented by ETV Win. Here is everything confirmed so far about the Romeo Juliet movie: its release date, its cast, its story, its music and what is known about streaming.
The release date announcement
The makers of the Romeo Juliet movie announced its release date on the occasion of Dasara, along with a striking new poster. Harshith Reddy looks stylish in sunglasses while holding a gun, standing back-to-back with Vishakha Dhiman in a red outfit, surrounded by bullets, thorny vines and red petals. The poster alone tells you the film’s mix: action-flavoured style on one side, classic romance on the other.
The Romeo Juliet movie was earlier expected on 23 October 2026, but the Dasara announcement moved it to 13 November 2026, when it will release worldwide in theatres. That date puts it in a busy mid-November frame, a day after Sharwanand’s Bhogi (12 November) and on the same day as Johnny Depp’s Ebenezer and the heist thriller How to Rob a Bank in the wider market. For a young Telugu romance, that crowded weekend is both a challenge and a chance: a film with a clear, modern voice can stand out among bigger spectacles.
A modern love story, not a fairy tale
The story of the Romeo Juliet movie is built around modern relationships. According to the makers and trade coverage, it explores situationships, casual relationships, breakups and the changing dynamics between young couples, blending hilarious moments with social satire and drama. Director Bhargav Macharla has described it as a story that revolves around relationships, and Harshith Reddy has said audiences will meet a different kind of protagonist in the film.
That framing is what separates the Romeo Juliet movie from a traditional romance. The title nods to Shakespeare’s lovers, but the film itself is pitched as a crazy entertainer with a fresh take on modern love and a unique character at its centre — a young hero navigating love in a world where relationships no longer follow one fixed script. The makers promise a highly unconventional take on love that speaks directly to today’s youth, and the promotional material so far leans into that promise rather than into melodrama.
Who stars in the Romeo Juliet movie
Harshith Reddy leads the cast of the Romeo Juliet movie. After Deewana, in which his performance drew appreciation, he returns here as the hero, and he has said he is confident audiences will enjoy the film in theatres on 13 November. Vishakha Dhiman plays the female lead opposite him.
The supporting cast of the Romeo Juliet movie includes Viva Harsha, Siri Hanumanth, Prasad Behara, Prabhas Seenu, Ajay Ghosh and Ajay in key roles. It is a youthful ensemble built for a comedy-drama about relationships, with familiar comic and character faces around the young lead pair. Bhargav Macharla and Prashant Ragathi have penned the story, Abhiraj Nair handles cinematography, and Yuva Kiran is in charge of editing.
A debut director with a star’s backing
Bhargav Macharla is making his directorial debut with the Romeo Juliet movie, having also written the story, and the film grabbed early attention when Rebel Star Prabhas unveiled its story glimpse. That kind of backing matters for a debut film: it puts a first-time director’s work in front of a much larger audience than a small romance would normally reach on its own.
Harshith Reddy has thanked Prabhas for unveiling the glimpse, saying the star’s support helped bring attention to the project, and he has praised Macharla for presenting the story in an entertaining manner. At the film’s song launch event, both the director and the lead pair spoke about the film with confidence, and the campaign has since moved steadily towards the 13 November release, with the song “Sorry Baby” among the promotional releases.
The music of the Romeo Juliet movie
Gopi Sundar is composing the music for the Romeo Juliet movie. The makers have begun promoting the film through its songs, including “Sorry Baby”, which was launched at a song event attended by the director and the lead pair. For a romantic drama, the soundtrack is a key part of the pitch: the songs are where a modern love story usually finds its audience first, before the trailer conversation takes over.
No full album tracklist has been officially detailed in the large trade reports checked for this article, so this article does not invent one. What is confirmed is the composer, the song-launch activity and the film’s positioning as a music-friendly young entertainer.
What about OTT? Not announced yet
The OTT release date for the Romeo Juliet movie is not announced yet. Filmibeat’s listing marks the OTT date as TBA, and no streaming platform has been officially confirmed in the reports checked for this article. The film is presented by ETV Win, but presentation is not the same as a streaming announcement, so this article does not claim a platform or a date. Until the makers confirm, the only confirmed way to watch the Romeo Juliet movie is in cinemas from 13 November 2026.
Why the Romeo Juliet movie is worth watching on 13 November
First, it is a romance about the present, not the past: situationships, breakups and changing bonds are the material of the story, not a subplot. Second, it gives a young lead pair and a debut director a full theatrical stage, with a star-backed glimpse behind it. Third, its poster and its music suggest a film that knows its audience — young, stylish and ready for a comedy-drama that treats modern love seriously without losing its humour.
For viewers choosing a film on 13 November, the Romeo Juliet movie offers a lighter, younger alternative to the bigger action and fantasy titles around it. If you enjoy Telugu romantic entertainers with a contemporary edge, this is the one to circle on the calendar.
